Factors That Influence The Stability Of A Society
We can find from the text that ââ¬Å"the most elemental and important facts about a society are those that are seldom debated and generally regarded as settled.â⬠(Louis Wirth, quoted in p. 7 of the textbook) However, what makes a society seldom debated and be regarded as settled. This article will focus on this question and try to find out those factors that influence the stability of a society. Whenever mention about society, the first thing comes to my mind is social class. Social class (or simply class), as in a class society, is a set of concepts in the social sciences and political theory centered on models of social stratification in which people are grouped into a set of hierarchical social categories. In the most common way, society can be divided into upper, middle and lower class. However, where there exist social classes, there exist contradictions. Karl Marx said:â⬠The history of all hitherto societies is the history of class struggle,â⬠and he also said:â⬠It punishes the crimes of the poor and condones the crimes of power.â⬠(quote from ppt for 13-5-15) From Marxââ¬â¢s words we can know that social class makes society loose justice. By which will lead to the unstable of a society. But every society nowadays have different classes.
